Vegan Cake

Obviously neither one of us are brainiacs when it comes to the kitchen, but this recipe has been met with great approval… – Xly

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 cups water

Method

Step 1

Mix all ingredients into a large bowl. Oil and dust cake pan with a little cocoa before pouring in the mixture.

Step 2

Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes. It should make one 9x13 pan.

Step 3

After cooling, the cake can be topped with frosting or just powdered sugar. Doilies make for great patterns when shaking on your powdered sugar. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can make two rounds instead and put a strawberry filling between the two layers.
